Signs of (un)making

Solo exhibition at the Temporary Art Centre (TAC, Eindhoven), October-December 2022, also part of the Dutch Design Week 2022.

We have surrounded ourselves with an infinite amount of stuff, the origins of which we no longer know at all. Both in terms of the materials and components and the way in which these products are made.

Signs of (un)making visualises the life cycle of a number of consumer products. By reversing the role of the designer – not making but unmaking – Noud Sleumer questions the impact of products, production processes, systems, infrastructures and the motives underlying them. In a playful but critical way, in humorous performances, films, photos and installations.
